Ok, wait a minute; let’s not rush 2022 off quite yet. Shall we review?
The Builders Association has grown, with over 15 new members and affiliates joining our ranks. This growth has allowed us to have many new events like Synergy Insurance Group’s March Madness Party, Notre Dame Tailgating at Mid-City Supply Company, and PAC the Roof Fundraiser. All the while still keeping our traditional events, such as the Parade of Homes Celebration, the Silent Auction Scholarship Fundraiser, and the wildly popular Open House and Chili Cook-Off! 2022 saw crowds heading back to the Home & Outdoor Expo and people coming out to see our builders’ masterpieces during the Parade of Homes. The BAEC continued its efforts to modernize with the commission of a new website with features to streamline communication, payments, and more. Also, as we look to the future, the Build Your Future Program is posed to catapult our industry to new heights through outreach programs and in-school involvement.
However, even though we are forging ahead, it’s impossible not to reflect on the negatives of this past year and recognize for many; it’s been a challenging year. To those who have endured struggles and losses, please know our hearts go out to you and your families.
Now that 2022 is becoming a memory, and as we move into 2023, the BAEC looks forward to continuing to grow and prosper, starting with our 1st General Membership Meeting on January 19 at the Matterhorn from 5:30-8 pm. During this meeting, we will introduce our new officers, discuss our website’s new Member Dashboard, hand out Awards, and hear about BAEC 2023 goals.
