Linda Rogers has been involved in the building industry for nearly 40 years, and although she is fairly new to the BAEC (2 years), she has a lengthy membership with the St. Joe HBA and has always been heavily involved. In fact, she was the president for the association for two years and she was also the president of IBA in 2015. In fact, Linda is the only woman to be president for the Indiana Builders Association. Linda went to Central Michigan University where she earned her B.S. in math and biology. Prior to getting involved with the building community, she was a teacher, so education is important to her.

Linda and her husband Mike, along with their daughter Michelle, run the Juday Creek Golf Course. She is also co-owner of Nugent Builders, INC. Linda said she enjoys the friendship and comradery that comes along with being so involved within the building community and the BAEC. Being involved in the association has given her many networking opportunities and Linda loves being part of a team. Her favorite saying is, “Learn something new, everyday” and she said she often asks her employees, when they have meetings, “What is something new you learned today”?

Linda is also running for a seat in the Indiana State Senate. She beat the incumbent this year in the primaries and is ready to take it all the way to a victory. Her main focuses are education and workforce development, along with helping to combat the opioid crisis that hits too close to home for so many Hoosiers. Linda wants to close the skills gap and help to promote to young people how fruitful skilled labor can be for their future. This means she is excited for the Build Your Future Program which is being implemented via IBA and many volunteers throughout our state. When asked about why she should get your vote this November, Linda replied, “I am somebody that’s always been hardworking and a good listener, and I will always stand up for what is right”.

In her spare time, Linda enjoys golfing and is also a tap dancer. She’s danced since she was in school, and although she took a hiatus from the dancing world, she is back at it and is still performing! Linda enjoys a good challenge and works her hardest to complete said challenge. When you vote this November, remember Linda Rogers. She will be in our corner and will fight for the building industry always. Thank you, Linda!
