Joyce Watkins has been with Mid-City Supply for thirteen years, but only in Elkhart for about a year. She spent twelve and one-half years in the St. Joseph HBA (with a small break for a couple years) and was very involved. Joyce was on the Board of Directors, she was their Showcase Chair, as well as the President of the Associates Council. We feel lucky and proud to have such a member here at the BAEC.

Joyce is the showroom Business Development Manager at Mid-City Supply and when asked about her job, she said, “It’s all about the six ladies I work with because I couldn’t do my job without them”. She couldn’t have spoken more highly of her co-workers and company. She enjoys her job because it’s like a family, and that includes her customers. Joyce bases her role on kindness, compassion, and really getting to know her customers. In fact, many of them have become her friends. That’s the thing about Joyce, she approaches all of her relationships, work or otherwise, like she’s building friendships.

Joyce Watkins was born and raised in Elkhart, IN and was in one of the first classes to go to Pine Wood as it was a model school at that time. During her elementary school days, she met eleven friends that still hang out together to this day. Once a month they all get together and do a girls day! Joyce also went to school for Interior Design. She is involved in community service and volunteers as often as she can. She is a current member of the BAEC’s Parade of Homes Plus Committee, as well as the Golf Outing Committee.

When asked what she has learned from being in the business for so many years, she replied, “There’s so much more to plumbing and there are endless possibilities for a home.” Joyce always has a smile and is ready to help at any given moment. The BAEC can attest to this and we would like to thank Joyce Watkins for everything she does. Thank you, Joyce!
